Another year, another birthday

Summary: Homura's 15th birthday surprise party

It's a week after the new year, making it a special day for Homura. Despite having little in way of celebration for her birthdays for a number of years, Homura is usually pretty aware of her birthday, the date serving a poignant reminder of her health problems and lack of anyone to celebrate it in years past. However, this year things have been a little different. After the masquerade just a week ago, Homura has been feeling distracted, losing track of the days and thinking it to still be the seventh of January.
As such, it's with a bit of surprise that after heading outside for a chore, Homura walks in on her apartment covered in decorations to the smell of burning candles and warm cake, and a group of waiting friends. It doesn't require any faking her surprise or joy at all, as she can't even remember the last time she had a birthday party, as small as it may have been in the past. Her smile lights up even as she goes to blow out the candles.
((OOC: Madoka would have invited any friends of Homura to help prepare and/or celebrate. However, everyone is welcome to come if they find out secondhand.
