Claire squints, shading her eyes from the flashing lights to try to make out the small figure. When she recognizes it--

"Oh, Laura! Be careful up there."

She just sighs, but in a fond way. All these troublesome children.

"They are, very pretty. I've never seen anything quite like it. Do you know what the celebration's for?"
