Characters: ristu_kouyou and reluctantstop, later middaysdream Date: 10/11 - dusk Summary: After Akiha recovers, she decides to hunt... Warnings: drinking blood, biting, potential violence
Absolutely clueless was Kris' current outward appearance. She was mostly like that but when outside, things could always be dangerous. Life on the streets made that an obvious fact and despite her outside appearance, she was paying attention to her surroundings. The ominous feeling in the air was obvious but she made no move for the weapons at her waist. Kris didn't even know if she was even the target of such a feeling.
She decided to stop her little walk and wait to see if that feeling would go away or get stronger. Either option was fine with her but it would be best to discover what the intentions were, of course.
At first Akiha didn't realize it was Kris she'd zeroed in on. The magician just happened to be the first sign of non-animal movement she'd seen. When she got close enough to identify her, she paused. This was someone who knew her
...this was also a fairly easy target from her perspective. Kris wasn't paying attention and was lazy. Her reaction time might just be slow enough to make this far less trouble than before.
And then Kris stopped.
Akiha stopped and shifted even deeper into the shadows. Her muscles tensed as she fought her instincts to just grab Kris, bite into her neck and drain her dry. Do not kill. Do not kill.
And that feeling stopped with her. To her street honed instincts, it screamed at her that someone was definitely watching her. Kris could think of a million things to do but didn't quite feel like going that far. Just leaving would be the best option since she could get out fast.
Instead, she fired off a fireball in the middle of a clearing to light up the place. A small goblet of fire left her hand and exploded violently in fire and, naturally, lit up all the area around it.
Was this going to come down to more of a fight then Akiha wanted?
The moment that fireball exploded, her eyes flickered to it and she absorbed the heat of it. Te light produced died but not before Kris got a glimpse of long red hair trailing behind her as she moved through the thicket.
She needed to move fast and quietly to circle about behind Kris.
Akiha stepped out from the trees behind Kris and grabbed her. One arm came up to clamp a hand over the magician's mouth and the other twisted Kris' primary arm behind her back. Hopefully, this would keep her from casting any sudden spells.
"Here I am, Kris," Akiha said in a low voice that was a bit off from her normal tone as her breath washed over the girl's ear and neck. "I should thank you for choosing tonight to be out so late. It's in your best interests to not move. Stay still and you'll live to see the sunrise."
It does stop spellcasting, as a matter of fact. Hand usage and verbalization were fairly key to using spells. Unless she had her knives in her hand, which was not the current case.
Her body didn't betray any fear, however. She would have spoken to reply but that was currently not possible given the obstacle covering her mouth. Though she was surprised that it was Akiha, for sure.
Even more surprising might be the vermilion hair falling forward into Kris' view as Akiha tilted her head down to get a good look at the magician's neck.
"You have something I need right now. Resist and this will end very badly for you. And as much as my blood revels in the chase, I don't let it control me," she continued. "Nod once if you understand."
Complying with a captor required a pliant attitude, which was something Kris didn't possess. A nod didn't come from her neck.
Instead, she prodded at Akiha's hand with her tongue, wondering if it would gross her out. Kris didn't see it as resisting so she didn't expect a negative reply.
There was a moment of silence before Akiha snorted. "How much is your life worth? I'm not going to pay for something that has no intrinsic value in human society."
At this point, Akiha was tired of hearing Kris mumble, so she moved her hand off the magician's mouth down over her throat.
"We can discuss that if I acquire a chef. My patience is wearing thin," she said as she used the hand at Kris' throat to tilt her head to the side and expose her neck. "All I will relent to now is that I will see to you afterward until you recover."
"I better have a maid." That one came out clear since the hand was gone. And you had better believe that she wouldn't forget about their future discussion.
"You will not," Akiha snapped. It sounded like Kris was just expecting to move into the Mansion after this. "I have a maid, not you. I will not entertain these demands of yours any longer. The only way you will get even close to having them met would require you pledging yourself to me."
Her words were hard and she was terribly close to giving in to her inversion. So close. She needed...
"Now. As I said, don't move or this will be very bad for you. And, yes, it will hurt. At first," she stated just before leaning down to bite Kris' neck.

She didn't move a muscle. She could be patient...

She decided to do the next best thing. Admit she wasn't surprised so it was pointless.
"Um, I know you're out there so you might as well come out."

"Enough of that. I'm giving you far more privilege than I ever used to. Don't make me change my mind and knock you unconscious."

"How much are you going to pay?"
Because money speaks wonders to her.
