[Homura hesitates, standing outside the room at the onsen that Mami had been living in. It's been a few weeks since she last talked to the older girl, having been unsure what to do after their last tear-filled talk.

Maybe it would have been easier to have just used the Vine, but awkward. Really, it would be best to simply meet face to face, if the girl would have her. She wanted to see how Mami is doing and...maybe try to talk to her about things.

Taking a deep breath in, she knocks lightly on the frame of the shouji, unsure what to expect.]

[Unseen, Mami jolts, fingers closing over her Soul Gem in a tight and nervous gesture. It reverts to ring form with a brief flash of light, but Mami doesn't get up from her bed. Her voice is low, tired:]

Yes?

[heartovertime]

[The voice from the other side of the paper comes through after another moment of hesitation.] It's Homura Akemi...

Is it okay if I come in?

[...Ah. She folds her hands in her lap, tries to square her shoulders.]

Mm, you may. [...] I wanted to talk to you anyway.
