[The face of a young woman with long blue hair appears in the mirror; she hasn't strayed far from the clearing she started in just yet, though she's obviously found and put on her regular uniform. She's frowning, but there's a hint of intrigue in her expression; it's not hard to tell that the vines are different from the sort of technology she's

But what does fate have to do with anything? I don't intend to believe in any notion as flimsy as that.

When did I mention-- [It quickly occurs to her what Naoto's on about] Fayt's a person, actually. Fayt Leingod. He's... an ally of mine. I don't know if he ended up here as well, but if you see a guy around my age with blue hair and a sword, make sure I'm the first to know.
... I should introduce myself at this point, shouldn't I? [Her expression softens somewhat, though she still looks serious and professional] I'm Maria Traydor, leader of the anti-Federation group Quark.

...I'll do that. Although thus far, I haven't encountered any males. That could be a vital clue to this mystery.
Anti-Federation? ...my name is Naoto Shirogane. I am a detective.

No men at all? That is strange. If that's the case, I wonder what's the purpose of bringing only women here? I just hope it isn't some sick prank.
You haven't heard of the Federation? [There's a bit of a contemplative look on her face at this point, as if she's guessing that Naoto is from a different world from her] I don't know if it's worth explaining it in this situation, but... the Pangalactic Federation's the major government in the galaxy. It's frankly an oppressive system, and so Quark's role is to use mediation to aid those planets that seek independence from it. That's where I come from, at least.
Anyway, good to know you, Naoto.

But about those cats, I've been wondering about them... mostly about if we need to be able to speak cat.

[The idea of possibly having to speak cat makes her cringe a bit] That would be a major pain if that's the case. Considering the scroll I got told me to talk to the cats, it had better not be true, otherwise someone out there's playing a bad joke on us.

Or is just assuming too much about us. "Oh, well I can speak to them, so everyone else should be able to as well!" Something like that.

Wouldn't that be ridiculous.

This place is unlikely to be your universe of origin, the population seems to be entirely female, there seems to be a point where this land becomes bounded with mist, the people you are looking for are possibly still where you were before arriving, oh and there's clearly powerful magic at work here.
Anything I haven't covered?

I don't suppose there's any way of getting back to our own worlds at this stage, is there?

Major Anna Lin, from some backwater world you've probably never heard of.

Maria Traydor, leader of Quark.

What do you know about the situation so far?

[She's now making a bit of a mental note to only refer to herself as leader of a rebel group from now on; she figures it'll save on any more explanations and/or misunderstandings]
From what I've gathered, there's no men here at all, we've been pulled in from God knows how many different worlds, looking for any companions we might've had before coming here is most likely futile, and there's no way we can get back home. In other words, someone's landed us in a very strange mess.
