[Misty looks a bit tired too. Protecting people with her Pokémon is tough, even when she's got an ally.]

Thanks for the offer, Claire

Are you holding up alright?

Yes. A friend of mine from home arrived recently, and the person I live with is here, too. What about you?

[she has strong feelings about children being out on their own.]

Oh, that's great! I'm really happy for you.

I'm okay. Just taking a break from helping people out.

Thank you. [she smiles warmly.]

Ah, but you're so young...you're not fighting, are you?

If I need to, yeah. There are people in danger while these monsters are here.

... But don't worry. I've got my Pokémon on my side helping, along with one of my friends.

You're very brave, miss--

If I may ask, what are "Pokémon"?

cascadetomboy November 3 2011, 01:33:40 UTC
Heh, thanks!

Pokémon are creatures from my world. There are hundreds of different types of them!

You actually saw one of mine the first time we met.

Oh--your dragon? [that's what it had looked like.] The one that helped us bathe that girl, I remember. Are they all so big?

cascadetomboy November 4 2011, 22:52:37 UTC
Nah, they're not all that big!

And Gyarados isn't a Dragon-type; it's a Flying and Water-type.

Flying and water...type?

He...She? Just resembled a lot of the stories I've heard about dragons, That's all. I apologize for the mistake.

Yeah, Pokémon have types; like Dragon, Flying, or Water, and so on.

Ah, it's okay. I'm getting used to having to explain what Pokémon are.

It does make sense...[the water part, especially.]

But it must be nice, being friendly with the creatures from your world. Where I'm from, everything that wasn't a wild animal usually tried to attack you.

... Really? Not even any friendly ones?

Well, there are farm animals, and such...and there's Zapie. He's my pet. But then there are creatures called "Viruses" that are always dangerous.

cascadetomboy November 19 2011, 01:55:27 UTC
... Huh. It's kind of hard to believe that there are so many creatures that are dangerous. Not that Pokémon can't be dangerous or anything. It's just that it normally depends on the trainer if the Pokémon's dangerous or evil.

So...it's how they're raised, then? That makes more sense...no one really knows why Viruses attack people.
