How many of you are agents of death? I don't mean those who have taken a mere few lives, but those who are responsible for death on a grand scale, who have wiped out hundreds or thousands of people. Entire populations, perhaps. Worlds ( Read more... )

I inquire because I'm interested. Why else would I ask a question?

Hard to tell in a place like this.

I'm a nation; wars do occur. It's not that I enjoy such things, but they're necessary.

True enough.

I quite understand such things. I've caused wars and destroyed nations. Wars aren't always necessary, are they? So often caused by avarice, arrogance, or despotism.

Tell me, how can a nation speak?

I'm the representation of a nation--as long as my people are alive, I am too. Wars aren't always the best solution, but a war for survival is one I feel is necessary.

You're some kind of creature formed from the collective consciousness of a group of people? What a curious being you must be. You die if your people are conquered, destroyed, or form new nations?

I don't doubt there are wars for survival, but it's often due to cruelty or avarice on someone's side, isn't it? No one would have to fight to survive if not for the other side.

I die if my culture does; I can withstand being conquered as long as my people are still ultimately Lithuanian.

I'd like to believe most wars are started because it is believed to be a necessity. Those who start wars simply for the sake of fighting are the worst kind, though.

Are you a sort of parasite, to live off humans in that way?

You have a rather positive view of humanity, for a nation. I'd have thought you'd have seen more of human nature. I wonder what the noblest reason is for the slaughter of tens of thousands.
