[ There's something about the fragility of that smile that catches Caprica's attention. In answer, she smiles herself, just a little, reserved and just a touch unsure. ]
It's nice to meet you, Rosalina. [ A slight pause. ] Call me Caprica.
[ She was named by her own people after a world she helped destroy - not that she's going to tell Rosalina that. The question makes her expression go thoughtful. ]
A little more than a week, I think. None of us have been here very long.
[ A slight shake of her head. ] It... takes a little getting used to. This place is- it's different.
[ That's the most diplomatic way she can describe it, anyway. ]
[ Having been here only a few minutes, Rosalina cannot ascertain the feel of this place. There have been galaxies, planets, people from which she has felt negative energy, but this place... She isn't sure. She isn't even sure what she feels about this place, much less how this place feels about her. ]
I wouldn't say often, but she's used the Vine a couple of times since I've been here. People have tried to find her, but no one's had any luck.
And there's the- [ She pauses a moment, as if remembering names. ] The High Priestess, and the Damsel. But neither of them will talk about what we're doing here, either.
[ Rosalina frowns. Rulers who do not speak to their people? Yes, she was aware that kings and queens could not always be amongst their people, but to be so distant, so vague? What good did it do the people to tell them nothing? ]
The High Priestess must be some sort of spiritual adviser; but a damsel--I've never encountered anyone with such a title before!
