You think so?...that's a very optimistic way of looking at it. I hope it'll be a good thing, too- I guess I just have my doubts, knowing her.

I guess I may be just hoping that the Queen can be good. She is very confusing to me, but if she can understand how everyone feels, maybe she will be better. It is just something I am hoping for.

I don't think that her intentions are bad, it's just....well, it's basically what you said. She doesn't understand how we feel, and doesn't seem to ever really listen to us on top of that. Maybe if that changes, we really won't have to worry anymore.

[something of a sigh] I've talked to her at least twice, and she's pretty stubborn.

I want to help her understand. I don't know what I can do, though. If she won't even listen and is stubborn, then how can we get her to see?

[Mami carefully considers her next response. It's so easy to say something pessimistic, bordering on unkind, after all she's seen and gone through because of the Queen's thoughtless decision to bring her here. The words are already forming in her mouth, and are swallowed with an effort.]

...I suppose we'll just have to be even more stubborn, until she can't ignore us anymore. I don't pretend to know the secret to getting through to her- maybe all it will take is time.
