[Canada's standing not too far away, watching in shock. Things have been getting horrible again these days and she just wanted to make sure Ukraine didn't spend too long on her own. Because this was going to happen.]

[She's crying too hard to notice Canada's soft voice, curling up tighter and rubbing her wrist]

[Tentatively, Canada moves closer, not sure what to do or say, but knowing she doesn't want the older nation to be alone. She raises her voice slight as she tries calling out to Ukraine again, tone still soft and completely worried.]

[The second time does catch her attention and she looks up, half scared that it's Catherine again. But once she notices the other nation she relaxes a bit, wiping the tears from her cheek before getting up slowly.]

Don't apologize. [She's at Ukraine's side in an instant, crouching and putting a worried hand on her back.]

Things like that just happen here; I can't explain it. [She rubs her hand in comforting circles over Ukraine's back, remembering being in the labyrinth with America, how her flag had been the perfect texture, the perfect weight to hold close to her heart and cherish, before...]

[She nods and sniffles a bit. She really hadn't wanted to see Catherine, especially having to live under her iron-fisted rule, it was worse than when she had been completely under her little brother's control.]

[Guiding her away, far away, the Canadian doesn't say anything as she leads Ukraine back to the spaceship she shares with her sister. America's out, so Canada doesn't think twice about coaxing Ukraine onto the couch in the living space.]
