[The vine clicks on after a moment, all on its own.]

[Lithuania is sitting near a river at the edge of the gardens, and someone else is sitting next to her. She hasn't been in the gardens before, but the other nations will recognize this as Poland--and in Lithuania's time, they're two halves of one Commonwealth

Hey HEY! Poland, or whatever you're called. Lithuania is a beautiful and strong woman. I don't know how she is as a nation, but I'm sure she's just as great. Don't talk to her like that!

[Lithuania almost seems like she wants to say Zenobia should leave before Poland says something, but of course it's too late and Lithuania seems entirely cowed by Poland at this point.]

Oh my God, now you hang out with demons? I, like, thought I civilized you, you're like, Catholic and stuff now.

[It takes Zenobia a second to recover from Poland's comment. She has a secret fear of being abandoned because of her demonic side, and it was just hit hard.]

She's much more civil than you. You're full of venom and hate.

Lithuania, don't listen to her! You're better than her.

I--Miss Zenobia, she's not usually--I've never-- [Lithuania seems all over the place.]

Look, maybe you don't know me right. Well, I'm Poland. And she's Lithuania. Like, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth? She needs me to survive.

She seems to be doing fine without you here. And if you act this way, then to hell with you. She'd be a hundred times better without you.

Nah, she wouldn't even exist. Don't you know, once she goes back, in a couple hundred years we get partitioned. And once we're separated, she's gone. Nothing without me. And the main threat's on her side, so it's totally her fault.

Someone has to put up with her, though. [Poland drapes on Lithuania, who flinches a bit.]

Nothing's written in stone! You can't say that's her future for certain. And no matter what she is or isn't, no one should be treated this way!

Lithuania, where are you? I'll come and help! I see a river...

R-really, don't worry about me... [She attempts to smile but there's not much in it.]

I'm not saying it, everyone else is. Really, go ask anyone from her world who's from a later time than her, everyone knows what's gonna happen.

But I can't. I want to help you. Please! And don't listen to her! There has to be a way.

I--She's not usually like this, something's wrong, I'm at the edge--

Demons shouldn't talk to her. They're a totally bad influence. [She turns off the vine.]

[It takes Zenobia about twenty-five minutes to finally find Lithuania. She approaches.] Lithuania...

[Lithuania's face is buried in her knees, which are drawn up to her chest.]

She like, totally can't talk to you right now, we're busy.

[restlessdevil]

[Zenobia attempts to put herself in-between Lithuania and Poland.] You've had plenty of time to talk to her.

[rueandwolf]

[Lithuania looks up finally--and it looks like she's been crying, although she'd be loath to admit it.]

[Poland stands up to block Zenobia.] Like, she's my partner. We're pretty much married back home.

[restlessdevil]

Well she needs a better one. Because you're worthless. Now step aside.

[rueandwolf]

Did you not hear all the "she needs me" stuff? Because she does. Someone had to teach her to do things that weren't "cut up enemies" and "cut up enemies but slower", and that was me. You, like, hardly know her.

Poland... Poland, stop. [There's very little force in it.]
