[Zenobia is nearby, just staring at the building.] What a large tower. It kind of looks unusual, too.

[Nepeta catches Zenobia's comment, and looks her way. Here was a person she had not met before--at least, she thought she hadn't. She knew she hadn't in person at least because she definitely would have remembered anyone with a...wing? Like that.

Of course, seeing something unfamiliar like that makes her curious and she makes her way over to Zenobia]

Oh, hello! I have no idea. There aren't any buildings like it in my world.

[Zenobia takes a good look at Nepeta.]...Huh. Do you know someone named Equius? You both have horns and a similar skin color. Oh, but I'm getting ahead of myself. My name's Zenobia. It's nice to meet you.

[Of course Nepeta perks right about at the mention of Equius, she grins and nods]

My name is Nepeta. Very purrleased to meet you! Equius is also a troll like me and she's my moirail!

Oh yeah, Equius mentioned being a troll. Um... "moirail" is a word I haven't heard before. What does it mean?

[Nepeta on the other hand found it delightful and couldn't help but giggle.]

[She was a little surprised that Zenobia did not know what a moirail was, but then she remembered that none of the humans she knew did either. Maybe it really was just a troll thing, either way she was more than happy to explain.]

A moirail is what you call your partner in a moirallegiance, which is one of the four quadrants of romance! They are purrty much your complement. Like a best furriend, only more. They are there to balance you, and most of the time they know you more than you know yourself. They help you grow to be a better troll and attribute to society.

Huh. So a moirail is someone you're super-close with? Is it kind of a soulmate in a way, maybe? Is the relationship strictly platonic?

Yes! Exactly like that! It's one of the two conciliatory relationships which are platonic.

There are conciliatory relationships, and concupiscent relationships. Red romance, and black romance.

Red romance and black romance! ...I'm not sure I understand. So... red would be like... the innocent kind... and black... the... um... kind when someone comes up and... without your... um... Okay, I should just ask. I'm really not sure.

[Unfortunately Zenobia was more or less on the right track which is part of the reason Nepeta was never all that interested in black romance. At least not for herself.]

Red romance has to do more with positive feelings, yes! Like love, or pity as most trolls might say. This one right here. [she points to the grid with the heart.]

This one is called the flushed quadrant. When people are in this one, they are called matesprits and this one is the closest I've seen to the human form of love.

So... let's see. The black upside-down one is negative romance... the diamond is the soulmate friends... what's the one with three circles on a stem? [She points to the club.]

[She nods.] I think so. To be honest I'm not too certain what they think fur the most part since I didn't talk to many outside of my group of furriends. Karkitty was the one who described the feeling as pity, but I think that's just him. And I don't think even he really believes that since he's all into romcoms.

That one is clubs! It is auspiticsm, and it is connected to the spade. [she points the the upside down heart.]

Spades--or the calignous quadrant is based on hate. When you hate someone but are simultaneously attracted to them, they are your kismesis. Unfurtunately since most trolls tend to be purrty hateful they need an auspitice to keep them furrom not being faithful to their kismesis. I guess you can say they are sort of the peace keepers between two trolls who are bordering on becoming infatuated with one another.

What's "auspiticsm" mean?

Hate-attraction? Hmmm. I think I've had a little of that before. But... it seems a little weird to me. I can't really imagine starting into the eyes of someone I hate. I suppose we could be intimate even if that'd be a little odd, but it seems like you'd lose a lot of the most fun parts of love if you're with someone you hate...
