[the mirror comes to life with the motion of a window opening, and Claire leans out of it, waving a hand in front of her face as if to ward off an unpleasant smell. She catches sight of the Vine and laughs a little.]
Oh! Hello. I'm afraid I'm a little busy now, so I don't have time to talk.
[she's looking a bit different today, her hair tied up away from her face with a thin ribbon, a plain gold ring in each ear. She seems to have found a dress that suits her tastes a bit better than the floofy number she's been seen carrying around. Her sleeves are rolled up above the elbow. She leaves the window open as she turns away from it, and the Vine seems awfully interested in what lies beyond. The image focuses as the mirror moves closer to the window, coming to rest on the sill.]
[inside is...a mess. Dirty clothes, a full ashtray, used dishes scattered everywhere. Claire is humming a little as she picks things up off the floor, disappearing into the kitchen for a moment with a load of dishes to wash. There's the sound of water running, and then she returns, piling all those rumpled shirts and pants into a wicker basket.]
[she looks up and notices the mirror again with a sigh.]
You're a cheeky little thing, aren't you? Go on, shoo.
[something occurs to her then, and she puts up a hand to halt the mirror's disappearance.]
I don't suppose anyone knows a good spot for washing clothes around here? The sink is a bit too small.
