[Claire's face appears a bit too close to the mirror, and slightly shadowed, as if she were leaning over it before it appeared. She pulls back, a little startled.]
Oh! There we go.

Oh! That's very kind of you. My name is Claire--Claire Bennett. Pleased to meet you.

My name's Vanille! ( She leans forward, clasping her hands in front of her. ) It's nice to meet you, too!
( She straightens up, swings her arms back. ) Now, where are you? I can come find you - show you the way?

My home is very small, not much room for a guest, but I would gladly have you, if you have nowhere to sleep.

You're too kind. I may have found a place, but I could certainly visit, if you'd like that.

[She is all smiles.]
Either way I would love to have you visit, there are some lovely teas I can make from the flowers here. I do enjoy sharing them.

That sounds wonderful! I haven't had tea in quite some time now.

I don't have anyone to clean it. [She sounds slightly wistful.] Are you a good cook?

Not better than my mother, but I'll certainly cook for you, if you'd like.

So many people have offered to help so far...it's heartening. I'll consider your offer, miss. Thank you.

No problem. Most of the people here seem pretty cool. There's a few jerks around, but...

I couldn't help overhearing you, and though I don't have a residence of my own, I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding somewhere to stay. There are many vacant residences, as well as many hospitable people here.
May I help you with that? [She nods toward Claire's burden.]

I did see many houses, but I wasn't sure if they were occupied or not, and I wouldn't want to intrude.
Thank you, miss. I'd like to find a safe place to put it for now...it doesn't belong to me, and I want to return it in good condition.

Several of the homes here are communal residences that anyone is welcome to live in, but I can understand why you'd be reluctant. It isn't immediately clear which ones are open and which are private homes. Would you like me to show you to the public residences, or did someone offer you a place to stay?
I'm sure any home would have somewhere you could store it safely. This garden-- [She gestures to the tall flowers and statues surrounding them] --is the closest thing to a residence I have. I'm afraid there's no good place for clothes here, but I could help you carry them for the time being.
