[There's a shot of a bunch of pink hair, and a flash of blue, before a sheet billows up! Utena is...making her bed on her own, because the birds creep her out. The place she's staying is decorated sparsely. It's carpeted, reminiscent of a dormitory. She seems to be alone. Her uniform jacket is carelessly thrown on the back of a chair near a desk. There's a basketball nearby, and a strange, stuffed toy.
Finally, she catches sight of the Vine blooming near a window and sighs, before peeking into the mirror. She smiles, but there's a tiredness about it, a heaviness around her eyes.]
Say, this dance...who's gonna go, anyway? With all the stuff that happens here, I think it'd be a good idea for everyone to keep an eye out for one another. Maybe it's best if a lot of people go. At least we'll all be together if something odd happens.
Oi... [She groans, rubs the back of her neck, and plops down on her half-made bed.] I really hope I don't have to wear a dress for this. I always look so dumb in those things.
