[the mirror shows the odd, mismatched house by the lake. There's now a small garden out back, though it wasn't created with magic dirt, but by plain old physical labor. Of course, that's kind of hard to tell by looking at it

[Utena's quiet, watching. Her eyes are a little blank and distant, and she seems oddly unaffected by the gruesome corpse of the cat, but Dejana's voice seems to snap her out of it.
She very softly says:] Thank you. The cats didn't deserve to die that way.
I'll be careful. [She's worried though. What if someone gets hurt?]
Do you really think someone did that? [She wants to believe it isn't true, but she knows better now. She knows the answer already. This world is just like Ohtori, she thinks. Like turning a rock over to see all the ugliness underneath.]
Are you--[She hesitates. What to ask? Are you a witch? It seems so rude, and...wrong, somehow, to give this woman a title like that. She's not even sure what a witch can do. She understands little of Himemiya, of Ohtori. And she cannot fathom the magic here at all. So instead:] How did you do that? Restore its body like that.
It's amazing. It's good that you did it too. Maybe wherever she goes now, it'll be--it'll be more peaceful.
[Her expression clouds for a moment, and then clears. She has an odd, morbid thought: there is nothing eternal in the world. Not even this one. It passes though, eventually.] Are you going to find a spot to bury her?
Yes. I was already planting, so it won't be difficult. I'll give her some flowers to watch over. Perhaps some catnip, if I can find any. [her smile is faint and sad.]
She very softly says:] Thank you. The cats didn't deserve to die that way.

There's no need to thank me, dear. But I'll accept it. Just be careful. It isn't clear what did this.
[she adds after a moment with a thoughtful hum:]
Or who.

It's just something I can do. I'm a healer. I can't give her life back, however. That isn't my place.

[She bites her lip, embarrassed.] What happened to the cats is terrible. I want to help. But if you don't need it, that's okay too.

[she nudges the mirror to give Utena a better view of the surrounding area.]
Do you think you can find your way here?
Reply
Yeah, I can. I'll be there soon.
[ooc: Action post after this, y/n/maybe?]

Then I will be waiting.
[she turns the power she used to mend the cat's body to getting the blood off her sleeves and clothes in the meantime.]
[ooc: oh wow sorry for the late reply. Feel free!]
