[Sephiroth has changed positions since the time of her last transmission. She has located the Orchard and is standing in front of some apple trees. She finds living off the land to be no hardship in the worst of conditions, and this seemingly fabricated environment makes things easy. ]
This is Sephiroth, of SOLDIER. [Though her affiliation has no meaning to most of the people here (with one very intriguing exception so far), she continues to announce it, because of training, arrogance, loyalty, or all three.]
I wish to inquire if any organized body has formed here among the numbers of the captives. Perhaps a military force, or a team of researchers?
If there are solely individual researchers, perhaps we should unify with the goal of studying our environment and sharing our findings. I have no formal scientific training, but I have a wealth of scientific knowledge. If some of you, with more learning than strength, fear the dangers of this place, you can rely upon me to defend you.
I would like to know what notable observations others have made in their time here. Has anyone subjected the Vine to any unusual stimuli? If so, what was the result? Does anyone have any information concerning the snakes that live here? I require a certain substance, and I have found that they are able to produce it--or a viable substitute--at will.
