So yesterday was the craziest day imaginable. I got up at 6:00 a.m., showered while Rich cleaned, and caught a cab over to 76th and Centeral Park West. Then I rushed to get dressed because CNN needed us for their international broadcast. Then we had a long wait period before the public came so we sat and chilled in the basement of the Historical Society where they had breakfast for us. We went upstairs, and I sat with my mum doing lucet and Rich and my dad were outside with my unit. My dad called me outside, and told me we were doing a skit. I had to run into the building, chase my dad, and tell him that someone in his company stole my prized hen and I had to identify the man. My dad hassled me though, and made me describe what he looked like because no 2nd New Yorker would steal from a farm girl. In the end, it was Rich who stole my chicken and was put on guard duty for a fortnight and forced to bow down to me. It was fun. :-) Then lunch. Then I spent the rest of the day outside with the unit or inside with my mum. I also got to meet Bernadette Peters. The event ended at 5:00 p.m.
After the event, Rich, mumsie, dadsie, and I went to Brother Jimmy's for dinner. It was good. Then off to 23rd street for the fireworks. It was long, and we left a little early because my hip was hurting. We managed to run into Bernadette Peters yet again. Then we took the subway back. Getting out of the station, I felt the worst pain imaginable in my hip. I limped and cried back and was really upset unfortunately when my parents left. They left at 11:15 p.m., and didn't get back until 1:00 a.m. I was freaking out because I really thought something bad may have happened. But they got back okay, and I could rest easier.
My grandpa went to the E.R. today for vomiting and generalized pain. I haven't heard an update yet, minus they think it may be his gallbladder. I'm sure he's okay though.
I had a pretty laid-back day because I was hurting. Rich and I watched movies, got sleep, and ate Indian food. Then we went for a walk.
I think I'm gonna play recorder. Or do lucet.
