Why Ain't My Life Just Like This Movie?
Tuesday really sucked for most of the day. My hormones are everywhere and it showed. I finally did pick up by The Roman Empire even though I was effing STARVING in class and we were talking about food imports in the Roman world. Oh yeah, I was so happy when I got my midterm (the one I thought I failed) because I got an A. Yay for making study sheets!
Technology was actually really funny because my professor was hungover. First, we watched Lex Luthor's "Prometheus" speech in Superman Returns , then my teacher went on to show us the instructions to fill out MTRs. There are five steps, but each step had like three or four sub-steps. So my teacher goes to us, "listen, I'm not filling out MTRs for you guys. If you want to know, just ask me. If you are in danger of failing, you're probably not here right now." Then she went on to talk about excessive rules. Her speech went like this:
"You know, I hate teachers who put dumb rules in. If you're cell phone rings five times a semester,
everyone loses a point. No food or drink. No bathroom breaks. [dog barks outside] No dogs allowed. One time, I put in this rule that if you showed up to my seminar late, you couldn't come in until intermission. I never enforced it until one day. Unfortunately, this freshman girl showed up five minutes late with a flat tire, and I jokingly told her that she couldn't come in. She ended up bursting into tears, so I had to go let her in. It was actually kind of funny."
I enjoyed it. It's not that I like her or anthying, it's just that it was funny.
Wedensday I slept in because I had no class. Then I got up and went to lunch. We met up with Dave and everyone and went into White Plains. Then we went back and the guys got together for Super Smash Brothers. I stayed in the common room and worked on my supplementary essay. It was really good, it was about having to write my first set of "grown-up", non-academic short stories for Mr. Johnson. Then I hopped in the shower quickly because my hair wasn't behaving. Then I worked on my novel. It's coming along really nicely. Then Candlelight with everyone. I feel like I ate far too much. Then bed.
This morning I went over to Brownson for law but it was cancelled. So I got an extra hour of sleep. Then I got up and studied psych and watched a show on UFOs. Then psych test. It was kind of hard, I'm not going to lie, but I did pretty well on the memory stuff. The only part I had trouble with was the IQ testing questions. But even then, I think I did better than last time.
Now I've got to go and get my college stuff done. Then maybe ballet. Then shower. Then essay.
