Before I forget:

I've lately been struck with some feelings. One of them is like, "hey, why didn't my parents make me do more cool stuff when I was little?" but not exactly. The other has to do with  ownership of ideas and inspiration.  When we were growing up, my siblings became enraged when another one encroached on an area of interest that one of us had already laid claim to. I  don't think I ever questioned it. How imperialist! How selfish! Hooray for phrases like, "imitation is the highest form of flattery" certainly. But, on the provision that I could have understood it at a young age, I would have so much preferred, "Seek joy! Seek love and comfort! Share your inspriration with the world around you so that they, too, may profit from your lucky find!"

Is that why artists are so impressive? They have stayed the protective, selfish qualms of sharing their inspiration?

Too long have I thought of things as mine. They are also yours. They are also not yours. Because that could mean something completely different.

And now for something completely different. Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!
