TETA
Hey so for those of you who have talked to me in the past few days knew i was freaking out about the TETA conference. Well, on the road up to Dallas, I found out some very bad news that worsened my panic : O'Bryan had lost my application and didn't enter me to audition officially for scholarships. (one of the main reasons I was going to this). I also found out she was getting fired for alot of reasons, which made me happy because she didn't even tell me I wasn't entered until the day we were leaving. So, needless to say I was very elegiac about colleges this morning. The dvd player to show my films on was broken too.
However, a bunch of recruiters saw my porfollio and posters and were actually interested in me! The weirder thing was, I was the first one out of the group to get offered a scholarship! First day at TETA. I got a full ride to San Jacinto State. WOW. I know they're not like NYU or anything, but still that was pretty neat. The recruiter guy said they were starting a whole film department with a brand new bond and it's going to have it's own building. cool.
A professor at OU has already requested an appointment with me, and so has this college in Florida which i can't remeber the name of because I'm so freaking psyched. The recruiter from florida was really interested in my screen writing and said I was "just what they've been looking for". Holy fucking shit. Who knew?
Kevin Schultes is getting alot of attention for his costume designs as well, he has a few appointments set up and I just know they're gonna throw money at him because that kid is awesome.
So...yeah. Wish me luck! I'll probably get my hopes up, but hey one full ride ain't bad.
Oh, and it's been so fun here! I have taken WAY too many pictures of our adventures so there will be a separate entry for those when i get back.
