damnit i am so disappointed. the apartment that sounded soooo nice, is really in a crapppppy neighborhood where i don't think i could live (literally - i think i'd be mugged and stabbed or something). it REALLY sucks because the girl who would be my roommate sounded so nice and fun, and she even had a cat and was happy to have my kitty there, too. and she was even my age!! she said that she just "fell in love with the place" when she saw it. maybe she saw it at night?? her mother bought it for her and is renting out the one room i was planning on taking. who the hell would buy a house for their daughter on that street????? or even in that area!!!! there's a big park nearby (with tennis, soccer, even an ice-skating rink), but you really have to live closer to it in order to live in the nice part of Patterson Park. and she definitely doesn't live in the nice part =( there were a bunch of fucking retards blasting rap music two doors down, there are absolutely no trees whatsoever, and the "back yard" is a concrete slab surrounded by a rickety metal fence. man, this blows hardcore. i wish i could pick up her house and smush it down right here in my current neighborhood. i mean, i'm right next to the undergrad campus, so it's a college kid neighborhood. there are lots and lots of trees and gardens here, and the museum, and a really nice gym, and it's all quaint old townhouses. oh well, i guess i'll just keep looking around here. grr. i wish i didn't have such a shitty landlord.
