A Rant About Brokeback Mountain
Am I the only person on the side of the rainbow flyers that hated this movie? I know it's old news, but I just saw so positively glowing review of this movie proclaiming the virtues and had to vent a little.
I saw only half of it, because my mother and I both got bored. We were at the sex scene! It was a dull gay cowboy movie, without the aspects of a cowboy movie that keep it excited. And I'm sorry, but sexuality can not sustain me, no matter what some of my friends say. :p
Yes, I realize it was a huge step in the gay acceptance in Hollywood. The act of two popular male actors playing lovers with no ill effects on their careers. Hell, it may have even boosted their popularity. That's fabulous!
