Well, June's speakeasy (Byron is still dead, because this is an AU) is one of the more reputable ones in town, AND it's where Peter met Elle--as Peter's Harvard pack moved in, Elle and her friends were slipping out a side-door and it just smacked Peter right between the eyes (I can't just write Peter/Neal, apparently, I hope OT3 is okay) and she smiles and Peter's jaw just drops, and she gives him a kiss on the cheek because she's seen him around for weeks now, and her flapper dress shimmers as she dances off into the night.

The next person out the door Peter grabs by the scruff of his styling suit, accidentally knocking the fedora off the man's beautiful head. And it really shouldn't be possible to be struck by lightning twice in one night bbut miracles happen, because there's another blinding, sheepish grin and Peter has seen that face before on the wanted bulletins but they don't do Neal Caffrey any kind of justice.

And Peter tries to strap on his Fed voice and says, "What are you doing here?"

And Caffrey smiles, shoulders shifting in a shrug under Peter's hands, and he says, "I'm just the musical talent?"

And Peter makes some horrible blushing stammer, mutters, "I'll make you sing like a canary," because he's going to haul Neal in, really, but Neal just leans into him and says, "Please?"

And then they do it in an alley and it's awesome.

OT3 rocks! I think it's one of the only fandoms where I'm not only okay with having a girl there, but ENJOY having the girl there. Elle is fucking amazing.
