I owe you guys two songs, since i skipped yesterday. And i do mean owe you--i'm sorry for freaking myself out so badly. It'll probably be okay. :{
ANYWAY, I have three days of Nano i need to catch up on, so let's get to it:
Always by John Gorka: It's occurred to me to apologize that a good chunk of these songs are folky--i don't usually listen to folk music so explicitly, but i'm trying to keep in the Nano groove. John Gorka is ~amazing. And his last name sounds like 'Orca.' So your argument is invalid.
I will always be lonely
Blue crack in a spare part
A red line through a head start
Round world with a square heart
Caroline by Bearfoot Bluegrass: Bearfoot is an Alaskan group, i'll have you know. Which means everyone (in the folk music circle, of which my mother is a part of) knows all their sordid little secrets. Not that i'm going to tell you all of them, but the original lead singer wrote this song just before she left the band. It's fantastic.
Caroline, she's so sweet
She's got wings upon her feet
Caroline, come dance with me
I don't care if others see
Caroline don't walk as tall
She won't dance with me at all
(Did you know Jewel is also Alaskan? Yeah, niether does she. Skank. >.<)
I should absolutely positively not do this. Which means i will. Fuck me, I think I even promised myself an Emperor's New Groove AU. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?
