captured what i've misplaced
So i'm behind on my Nano and behind on the music meme, and probably not going to graduate this year because my advisor is...an idiot, and. One of those three is easily fixable.
Day 05 - A song that reminds you of someone: Comme des Enfants by Coeur de Pirate. I realize it's a bit odd but hear me out. This came from one of the very first Merlin fanmixes i ever snagged, and it always reminds me of search_soleil's story about meeting Bradley James where he accidentally signed a French bistro chair. Because he's supah cool, and i've always regretted not getting to France while i was overseas.
Day 06 - A song that reminds of you of somewhere: Noticed by Mute Math. I loved riding trains when i was in Scotland. LOVED IT. Do you realize how nice it is to not have to worry about how you'll get to a place? You just have to step on, sit down, wait a bit, and you're there. Presto. And this song reminds me of trains because it's from the ficmix for derryere's Accidental Memory in the Case of Death, which made me feel so damn cool for being in Britain. Predictability: I has it.
Day 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event: Five Days in May by Blue Rodeo. When I was traveling around England with the Type!Eh Canadian girl, she and I would trade off ipods playing songs we thought the other might like. I was writing Due Supernatural at the time and trying to sneak information about Canada at the time, and apparently (apparently?!? the Canadian flisters say) Blue Rodeo is really big there. Like, so big she was flailing a little bit just talking about them. I must have heard her tell me, "But the cd is called Five Days in JUNE! :DDDDD" five or six times. Which proves that just about everyone has an inner geek.
