The Writing Club Post

Alright, it's about time i sat myself down and mashed this all out, and it has nothing to do with the journal entry on Confucius i'm trying to avoid. Right, i've mentioned i joined a writing club? It meets four hours on Saturdays in a little sub shop in town, which i'm told has pretty good food, even though i've never been able to eat there. *kicks ( Read more... )

i'm sorry what is this fuckwittery?, do i really need a real life tag?, if you were gay, writing: i does it

*ENCOURAGES*

I dunno 'bout you? But -I- would consider a major rewrite of a previous long fiction to qualify for NaNo.

Hmm. That might theoretically be cheating, as i think we're not supposed to start writing until The First Day Of November. Also, i kind of already have a plot. That they know about. (Otherwise, yes, i'd just pass this baby off as brand new. Dammit.)

I think all writers have things that we were immensely proud of at one point that make us want to break our own fingers now. I know I do (I didn't realize it at the time, but I basically wrote an ER fanfiction in script format - you could take out my characters and replace them with ER characters and it would read exactly the same. And also, it's bad on top of that.) Just remember, if your old stuff didn't make you cringe just a little, then you haven't improved any - and that would be bad.

*smish* Thanks bb. I guess that's true (and by 'guess' i mean 'know, but i'm childish and it hurts to admit') BLEAH. WHY CAN'T WE EACH BE AS PERFECT AS WE THINK WE SHOULD BE? Life would be pretty damn awesome.

*stares at comment* On second read this seems fairly douchey. Hm. >.O

No, no, not douchey. Just totally true. And you crack my shit up on a regular basis, so that at least makes you awesome, if not perfect. ;)
