Also, at this point poisonivory turned to me and said, "Total Girl Chaos is the name of James's third solo album." Me: "The critics' response is, "It sounds good. But isn't." ^Lol'd so hard at that. Can't even. Headcanoned.
And I actually like Lucy/Kendall too. I like what Lucy could BE for Kendall. People hate on it like their slash is gonna be canon but. Guys. This is Nickelodeon. Ship and write fics. Don't expect it to start popping up on your screen. I wish it was that easy, but it isn't. Also, I'm calling it now that Jo comes back and it turns into a big THING.
Dude, yes, that is totally going to happen. It'll be really interesting how it plays out. I loved Kendall/Jo and am totally digging Kendall/Lucy, but I also love how different their relationships are. Jo and Kendall was clearly a first time thing, and much sappier, but Lucy puts up with no bullshit and has experience dealing with guys. I can't wait to see those worlds collide.
I think "It sounds good, but isn't" is a valid descriptor of all of James' solo music, at least according to music critics. (How can music, which is a sound, sound good but not be good? Reviews like that hurt Logan's head.)
For some reason it does bother me when they threaten physical violence against, like, Jett or Wayne Wayne or Tad. I guess it just seems like boys being boys to me? But threatening Griffin, even though he is far worse to them than any of the aforementioned boys and also in multiple positions of power relative to them, bothers me because it suggests that violence is an appropriate solution to being bullied, or adult/employment-related problems, or...something. "Don't like what your boss told you to do? Assault him!" bothers me a lot more than a beachside rumble.
I actually thought "how can it not BE good if it SOUNDS good and IS A SOUND??" when I typed this up but decided it was too funny to throw out.
...we discussed this IRL, but basically, for me they just sort of skirt the line between "boys will be boys" shenanigans and "actually it's not okay to threaten violence to get your way."
Lucy is WONDERFUL and I would totally be down with Kendall/Lucy/James. MMmmmmmm. That would be delicious, actually. (Also acceptable, Lucy/Camille/Logan, y/n?)
Yes, I saw your layout! DEREK THREATENING STILES FTW! I don't even really ship them, I just think they're hilarious.
...and yeah, the show is pretty much predictable. And not good. But. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's hypnotic in its cheesiness, and some of the characters are just wonderful. STILES! JACKSON! Sometimes Lydia or Allison or Derek! DANNY!!!! AND ALSO THAT TIME DANNY ACTUALLY WENT TO A GAY CLUB AND THEN SOME DUDE BOUGHT SCOTT A DRINK AND STILES WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A GROUP OF DRAG QUEENS AND IT WAS WONDERFUL!
+ AUGH I STILL CAN'T DEAL WITH WINDOWS DOWN. I want to like it. I do. But every time it hits the intro my brain gets all psyched for Song 2 and sorry, ilu Big Time Rush, but Blur you are most definitely not.
And I thought I was the only one who feels this way...
+ "But I love the pony that Griffin got me!" "And there's more ponies where that came from." … "I'm simply doing business. With ponies."
I think it's kinda sad that the whole episode is about girls/ love interests/bla again, but Carlos gets a horse of all things. A freakin' horse... And what's most important: HOW did he get the HORSE into the APARTMENT?
+ Okay, I've been so over Logan/Camille for ages now, because since the on again/off again thing started, it's just made him look like an asshole and her look pathetic. But this episode made them kind of adorable again.Agreed. But let's see how long it lasts this time, heh. I just hope that Camille will continue to participate in storylines without Logan though. She shouldn't end up as just the 'girlfriend' like it
( ... )
Oh good, I thought *I* was the only one who felt that way! I don't dislike Windows Down, but my brain totally expects to hear Blur and then I'm all disappointed. Blur is one of my three favorite bands of all time.
I don't think Camille will end up as just the girlfriend type. She's never been only that -- she's also always had plotlines with the other characters, even if Logan's not involved in them. I hope that continues.
