My students are made of awesome.
We talked about anthems yesterday. One of the students, unprompted, sang a bit of her country's anthem in front of the entire class.
Another student has been particularly reticent. Yesterday she volunteered to participate in an activity. All of us student teachers geeked out over it in the debrief.
Today one gentleman told the class about how his brother fell for a bank account scam.
We talked about credit scores last week. Today, a student brought in a denial letter from Sears and asked how he could get a credit card and establish credit.
Last week, we had students write dialogues. At the end of class, one student improved a dialogue with me for a good three minutes.
I'm planning a reading lesson on learning styles and a listening lesson on the micro finance movement.
