[As the video feed starts up, a woman can be seen scrubbing her hands with her own wet coat, in fact, she's soaking wet from head to toe. At least the rain helped to wash away some of the blood on her clothing. Sticking out of her pocket is a knife, a sawed-off shotgun lying by her side.
She lets out a small sigh and shakes her head]
And I suppose

Mom--..! [ In her hurry, she's even forgetting about the twelve year time difference, or maybe even the fact that she should be providing some sort of explanation for this place. ]

[Or that's what she thinks until she takes a closer look at the screen. Quickly realizing that although the other woman is just that, a woman and not a girl as her daughter should be, she couldn't be anyone else; though her face is more mature, she does look just the same]
...Ange?

... Yes, it's me. Ange. .. From 1998. [ She adds the last part quickly, as if it should explain at least something. ] It's all a little strange at first, but there's an explanation for it. Even if it's sort of ridiculous.

Witches are silly. Fairies are too, for that matter. Magic is silly. No such thing :I]
Is that so...

It's good to see you, I never thought I would have that chance again... 1998...that would make you eighteen? Depending on the date, I suppose.
Time flies. [giggle]

I'm eighteen, yeah. [ She can't help but smile, even if it's usually pretty uncharacteristically for her. ]
[ For a slight moment she pauses, almost thoughtful. ]
Ah-- do you want me to come and pick you up? The village isn't far off from there, but the fae are pretty bothersome. They're the beings that brought us here.

[ It's her mom, after all.. Instant dere sort of right there. ]
I'll be there in a few minutes, okay?

[And time to hide all the questionable items she was carrying around Rokkenjima - thank god for big coats with inside pockets.]

And, well.. seeing her in person confirms it's real. Ange is carrying a gun too, although it's a smaller handgun which she keeps in a holster at her belt. Hey, you need to defend yourself against fae with something. ]
... Mom.. [ She can't really say more than that the moment she stops running when she's at the temple. Ange's expression is still a little surprised, but.. there's definitely something happy there too now. ] I'm here.

You've gotten pretty tall! [a light laugh]

I guess I've been eating well.

[Noticing that just takes her mind to Rokkenjima, and once again to her husband's fate.
Normally, there's a chance she wouldn't be able to handle it, but Ange's there, she's the one reminder of him, but a good one.
Her arms tighten as she smiles weakly]
You've started to look like your father.
[what, no she doesn't, not at all, and that is actually an insult to most]

If I have to choose between that or having the faeries bother me constantly, I'd know what I would pick.
.. And-- ah, do you think so? [ She doesn't really think she looks like her dad either, but.. ] I think Battler onii-chan is actually a lot more like him, even if they despise each other.

Haha, it's fine, I'm sure you need it around here, yes. I would much rather you be safe, than anything.
[giggle] Yes, they always were just the same, Battler refuses to see it, though.

I just wanted to make sure they wouldn't get to you here before me, so.. that's why I came here. The village isn't far off.
... Yeah, he's pretty stubborn, isn't he? I'm sure he can't keep it up forever, though.
