We have new neighbors because the old one died and Jesus Christ are they annoying. Like right this second, they are blasting their music at the highest decibel possible and they do that at ALL hours. Sometimes it'll be one in the morning, sometimes at six in the morning. It's fucking driving me insane. No matter how many times we go over there and ask them to turn it down, they still do it. Argh.
So I finally decided what I'm going to do with my life. I know I should have had that figured out like five years ago, but I'm a procrastinator what can I say? I'm going back to school full time in the fall for Paralegal Studies. I can do the accelerated program since I already have a bachelor's degree, so it will probably take me a year. This means I have to seriously cut back my hours at work. I'm going to see about only doing Saturdays and Sundays, that way I have the other five days to devote to my school work. I'm glad about that because I absolutely hate my job anymore, and I need to get out of there. That's a story for another day though cause I could fill up 20 pages just talking about that.
My mother and I went to NYC the other day because they have this Titanic exhibition I really wanted to see. Over the past couple years, I've been really getting into shipwrecks so I've been reading a ton of books about them. Anyway, it was awesome. I really loved seeing all the artifacts, plus they had it set up like the ship. They had a replica of the Grand Staircase to go on and shit. At the beginning, they gave me a boarding pass and it had the name of an actual person on the ship and at the end I found out if I lived or died. I lived cause I am awesome. I thought the neatest part was they had a huge iceberg set at the temperature of the water that night and you got to touch it to see how cold it actually was in the water that night. That shit stung when you touched it. I couldn't imagine sitting in it.
We did a bunch of other stuff on the trip too, but it involved a lot of walking and I thought I was going to die. We're supposed to go back in September or October, so I'm looking forward to it. I really like it there. Fuck the Mets though.
Anyway, these pics were taken a couple months ago. Shawn was on the bus one day and happened to ride past this which he knew I'd love. As neat as it is, it's kind of morbid.
