Top Ten Reasons why KatieBea Rocks My Socks (please note, I agree with everything on ProfDana's list, so I am "adding" to that one)
1. She responds promptly to email...especially when I am bored out of my mind at work...I know she will get back to me!
2. She is the most adventerous gourmond I know...Thai, Etheopian, Brazilian...you name it, she is game...and that warms my heart.
3. "You, upstairs" may be the greatest pickup line I have ever heard...and he is still talking about it.
4. When Jim 'accidentially' 'punched/slapped' me (it was a drunken rage on both our parts) Katie was the first one to throw the smackdown on...she was my own private bodyguard and took care of me when I couldn't take care of myself.
5. Even grocery shopping with her is an adventure (try going to Whole Paycheck with her sometime)
6. She gets along with everyone...EVERYONE...no matter their mood, political inclination, state of drunkeness...
7. She is generous to a fault with her time, money and hospitality...there are few people who would give you the shirt off their back...and then buy you another just in case...
8. Electronic device genius!!
9. You have to love a girl who travels with a tent in the trunk at all time...you know, just in case...for those last minute emergencies.
10. In all the years I have known Katie, I have never for one second questioned our friendship. She has never done anything that would compromise it, or betrayed my confidence. Regardless of how much she has been hurt, she has never talked smack about anyone who has done her an injustice and is one of the people who actually lead me to still believe that there are good people out there...

Now, ProfDana, A list...you know, of why, she is, you, know, like awesome.
1. She has made me improve my grammer pronounciation...my *fear* of being ridiculed for my South Jersey accent has made me think twice when I speak...thus making me sound more intelligent...it does not, however, help my spelling...and i will always say *wooter* incorrectly...
2. 4 hour long distance phone calls so we can have a drink together...some of the best conversations I have ever had...
3. She is not stingy with compliments.
4. She doesn't think twice to hall her ass down to my house, on a whim, so we can go out...
5. She listens to me bitch about my mother...willingly.
6. She is FANTASTIC at money management...one day I am going to kill her off just so I can steal her identily and use her credit score to my advantage.
7. I only know of one man who can resist her...that would be my boyfriend...but I think...if given the chance and the proper attention, that could be different...(even though I doubt you would try...)
8. She knows all of my faults, my neuroses, my ticks...and she still likes me.
9. She was willing to deal with me dating an asshole to maintain our friendship...
10. ProfDana and I probably should have never been friends...actually, come to think of it, it is a miracle we are...our friendship proves that first impressions are not ususally what they seem...for all of our faults, there is no one in this world that knows me better, and doesn't care about what isn't perfect about me...and I don't care about what is wrong with her (because that is SUCH a LONG list, I don't have enough space on all the internets to list them all...::grin::...)She has carte blanche...like, for eternity.
