HEY GUYS HEY I MET LYN-Z LAST NIGHT AND SHE HELD MY HAND! :D :D :D :D
She also hugged me and chatted to me for 5 minutes and posed for pictures with me, but the hand-holding stands out the most. The first thing I said to her was "You guys were amazing!" and she BEAMED and grabbed my hand in both of her and stroked it and held onto it while someone else asked her a question. And then a small part of me died of joy!
AND. And then I got a photo with her and she signed my chest (LYN-Z TOUCHED MY CHEST) and then I skedaddled because at that point there were 50 million people trying to get at her. So I went and bugged Kitty (I'd already gotten my photo with Jimmy), who was absolutely lovely and gracious and a little overwhelmed. Then all the crouds thinned out a bit, and I went back to Jimmy, where he drew cat whiskers on my face - no, seriously - and then I went and met Steve, who was hilarious and maybe a little drunk, and he insised on colouring in my nose. We chatted to him for a while, too. By then the crowd around Lyn-Z had gone, so we went back and just... hung.
She was SO NICE, and so chatty and cool. She told us about being crazy in a band, and when I told her I was bummed abour missing them at Soundwave she was like "Soundwave SUCKS! This is better!" And when I admitted that reason was that I just dropped $100 on tix to see The Pumpkins, she said she would do the same thing "In fact, if I could drop $100 and see the Pumpkins instead of play, I totally would!" She said that the reason she was so active and crazy on stage was because when she was growing up she never saw any girls who were like that, they were all boring and left the antics to the guys, so she decided that if she was gonna be on stage, she was gonna rock out. She told us about jumping from a massively high speaker stack and how it was terrifying and the dumbest things she's ever done "It was so fucking stupid, guys, I should be DEAD." She was funny and engaging and sweet and interested in what we had to say. I'm so in love.
Man, last night was like, the greatest night of my life, and that's not even including the fucking awesome show they played. I was right up at the barrier on the right hand side, with Lyn-Z directly in front. And she was freaking insanely hot. Prettier than you can imagine, and so sexy, jesus, in her tiny school skirt and her black sniper shirt. She bounces, she stomps, she jumps, she headbangs, she poses, she BACKBENDS, she lies down on the stage, she kicks things, she puts her foot up on the fold back... She also smiles a lot, and laughs at all the stupid things Jimmy says (a lot), and sings a long a bit. She waved at us and grinned at us a lot.
Jimmy is amazing also. Very funny, very charismatic. Actually, the whole band were just awesome live performers. I can't even - I loved it all so much, and I had so much fun. I danced to it all and laughed at Jimmy and Steve's stupid jokes and was kind of in awe of Kitty's baddass drumming, and it was the best night EVER. Even before I met them it was an aweome gig. Meeting them, though... :D
HEE STEVE SAID I WAS COOL AND LYN-Z STROKED MY HAND AND JIMMY HUGGED ME AND DREW ON MY FACE AND KITTY MADE DEVIL HORNS WITH ME AND IT WAS AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!
I'm forgetting a bunch of things because I'm tired, and I have to get ready for work and see what washes permanet ink off (apart from the cat face I've got Jimmy and Lyn-Z autographs on either side of my chest, and Kitty and Steve autographs on the inside of my arms) and drink more coffee and Shady has fallen asleep in my left arm making it hard to type, but. I'm so happy, you guys :D
By the by,
tshirtgirl has all the pics (guess who left her camera at home!), and she was a real trouper, following me around and putting up with my hysterical screeches of "CAN YOU TAKE A PHOTO OF LYN-Z/MY CHEST/JIMMY DRAWING ON MY FACE" with grace. THANKS, BAY-BEE. I owe you one! As soon as she gets the pics to me, I'll pop them up here.
UGH, GOTTA GO.
--Cheers, the happiest Beck ever!
ETA: tshirtgirl uploaded this picture from her camera, which I TOOK. This is when I told Lyn-Z to do her best supermodel pose, to which she replied "Fuck, I'm so bad at that!" and then proceeded to be REALLY GOOD AT IT. BEHOLD.
