Hi again! I must be journaling so much because of all this moving and being all "independent" and such. Well, lucky for you! I think this one will be short because I don't have any longwinded things to recall.
So today is my final move-in day. I've been sorting and packing things all week (the last two days, with the help of Mom) and now it just needs to go into the apartment. I didn't have much to begin with, but I pared it down even more because there were things I got and just never thought to see or use again! Lord! Like, I have a pair of Tripp pants that I got around 2005-ish. I maybe wore them three times. Those are going good-bye along with a lot of other useless things.
Coming with me is a plethora of books, a good amount of clothes, and a small amount of ponies slash stuffed animals. I don't even have furniture yet (aside from a bed and a sheet set), so there's nowhere to place everything except my pretty spacious closet. Soon, though, I'm going to have some nice cherry-finish hardwood furniture (dovetailed wood, awesome!) from BigLots. And it'll be on sale when I buy it, so it'll save my parents a lot more. I'll definitely be glad when everything has a piece of furniture to reside in and the miscellaneous boxes are out. I'll take pictures for you when I'm done.
Mom's starting to feel the "Empty Nest Syndrome" already, and last night when we were setting up my brother's mattress and boxspring in the apartment she was like "Maybe you should come and live with us!" Sorry Mom, you guys made this decision first and I think it's for the best. I'll be living with another mom anyway, Mrs. Gutierrez! I am going to have to re-study my Spanish to be able to talk to her, though. Lordamercy.
Mom and Dad are still in the process of moving themselves out so I may have to keep stopping by to help them out. They have quite a lot of stuff in that house, twenty-three years worth of it, and it all needs to be sorted out and packed up. They can have my moving boxes come Monday when the sale starts and I get my furniture. They'll need them.
Oh, uh -- I might not have internet at the new place for a bit. I'm not sure if those apartments include internet access with rent or if I have to independently get it for myself or what. We'll see. It's not like I won't have computer access -- there's always libraries and the office (like now, haha.)
Well, ciao!
