New CAR?!; Animeeting Day; Photoshop Job!?; Monday sucked...
There's a lot of news I have to catch you guys up on, so here I go!
First of all, my Dad is going to try and get me a new car for, uhm, you know going off to college. Since I'm thinking of going to places that are all far off (UNCG, UNCC, WCU, etc. etc.) they want me to get a better car than my Saturn SL2. Soooooo, the other day my Dad found a 2000 Toyota Camry with about 80,000 miles on it for, like, somewhere around $5,000 I think. It's a silver color, has a CD player, drives really smooth and, it's A FREAKIN' TOYOTA. It chumps my current car like crazy. He's seriously thinking of getting it, selling my last two cars (the broken Ford Taurus, "Saionji", and the Saturn SL2, "Chirinide") to pay for the majority of the car, the rest being taken care of in a small loan. Even more, he's thinking of adding my name onto the loan so I can get my credit established. This situation is made of WIN and GOD so far, despite me being sad at the lack of Chirinide in my life.
BUT! The Camry, if I get it, will be named "Tir'ade" after the Tainted Kyorl'Solenurn warden from Drowtales. I'm trying to name my cars after characters that sort of match their color (the Camry is a silver color, and so is Drowussu skin, as well as Tir'ade's armor; Tir'ade is also bigger than Chirinide, in both cases) and add positive attributes (for instance, Tir'ade is powerful, big, and he kept going even after being Tainted =o!) So... if I get the 2000 Camry, it'll be named Tir'ade. I almost went with Ron'nae, but a car named "Ronny" is really stupid. That, and I don't know Ron'nae's character as well as I do Tir'ade's. (*grumblearghgrumble* Dad says "Tir'ade" sounds like "turd" but I'm like "Shut up, Dad!" XD! Tir'ade is better, though Ron'nae is a SUPER HOT BISHOUNEN MAAAAAAAAN =o. I'm STICKING WITH TIR'ADE, DAMN IT. HE HAS BEEN CHRISTENED ALREADY, SORRY.)
*COUGH* ANYWAY, I went to a mid-day Anime Meeting yesterday. We only had two new people, really. The other people that showed already came to the first meeting. I wish we had more than four days to promo it, I bet that was the problem. We talked for a long time about going to the convention in Raleigh, etc. etc. Ah, conventions. I don't have the damn MONEY to go to any of them right now, which is the serious suck... ._.; I've got $60 in the bank AS WE SPEAK. That is NOT enough, man... Not by a mile. So, I can't go unless I get a job.
I suppose I should go talk with the Photoshopper up at the Print Shop to see if she knows anywhere that needs a Photoshopper. I need the money, and that's a good place to start. Photoshopping is WAAAAAAAAAAAY easy. Srsly. And I've got a degree, however insignificant, that shows I at least know the basics of ART enough to do shit like this. AUGH... >_< Must... do this.
Oh, and as a general word -- Monday SUCKED. Oh, man... It was rainy, they didn't have any of the books I wanted at the library, my car was out of gas, I locked myself out of said car, and my pizza was cold. Then, I almost killed myself by panicking and pulling a two-lane cross infront of a sedan in Hickory. OOOOOOOOOOH, And Hickory didn't have any of the stuff I was looking for, either. Yeah, Monday sucked a lot.
I've been dying to draw, but by the time I get the gumption TO draw, I get distracted or tired. What is that called, when you're sorta "blueballed" by DRAWING? O_o Ah, whatever.
