So, I just spent a little bit of time watching some Flight of the Conchords. I don't really understand many women's liking of Jemaine. Bret happens to be my favorite. I mean, he has a career. He drinks coffee.

Anyway, yesterday was fun. I dressed up really nice (sorry, no pictures, my camera battery died and I can't find my rechargeable battery) and went and played at my friend's wedding vow renewal ceremony. They have been married for 25 years. It went very well. My dad recorded some background guitar and we put it on a cd and I played with it. I thought it was going to be too long and lame, but contrary to what I thought, it went very well. I ended up playing mandolin instead of violin because it was in the wrong key.

Afterwards they had dinner and a dance in the garage. This older couple (who actually played at their original wedding reception) played polka songs. He played an accordian, and she played a small drumset. They both sang. It was pretty good! Then after about an hour, they were done, and so some motown music was put on. All these older folks were trying to do the electric slide and they actually got the hang of it (after replaying the song about 2 or 3 times) and it was kind of funny to watch. Had a good time. Didn't think I would make it home ( I had about one hour and forty-five minutes of driving to do) because I was so tired. In fact, I only remember a few minutes of driving. I remember at one point wondering how exactly I got to Elk River. But that's okay. Good thing I didn't pass any police officers.

I have found that I enjoy driving with bare feet. Odd, I know.

Tonight I am going to HEMI. It should be fun. Apparently my parents are coming. That will be different. Hopefully my dad will like it.
