...You stay up all night designing your own version of Dagobah so you can use Yoda to teach math! In Teaching Math we had to build an interactive learning board students can use in order to review or discover a concept. My board is for review. Each of the leaves is a multiplication math problem. First the four students at my learning center will use the formula to create their own Jedi names. After that, the children will take turns pulling leaves off the tree and trying to solve the variety of problems. Every time a student solves a problem, they move their character piece (either yoda, Luke, x-wing, or artoo) up a notch because they are using their "math powers" to levitate their characters. If they miss a problem, their character gets moved down a notch. The first person to move their character up all ten notches wins the game.
I put way too much time into this, I know my professor is a star wars fan, so I'm hoping for a good grade for my interactive learning center. If not, it still just is too darn cute!
Now I wish I could sleep after being up all night... Sigh. It's going to be even a longer day than usual for a Monday...
