still smiling from this weekend... regardless of the bites and bruises, the (physical) aches and nostalgia, lack of sleep and stomach growls from red bull overload. gainesville showed me a good time, or rather my friends showed me a good time. sometimes i wonder why i chose politics over music. maybe out of obligation?
alright, now i have to document my highlights:
-a mattress flying out of the bed of a truck, nearly killing adam and me (while watching jay & silent bob strikes back).
-towers of hanoi, chin up chin up, the mercury program, circle takes the square, gunmoll (memorable sets)
-dodgeball with derek, clint, and adam (especially derek and my victory and strike-out dances).
-sliding and belly flopping in a pool with angelica and renee, with our clothes on (swinging was relaxing, too).
-riding in and driving a fly car with the license tag "2MTL4U"
-seeing good friends i rarely see, and picking up where we left off (ie-drinking).
-elbow diving with kids from clearmotive, and finding out the next day that one of them had his nuts out (i had no idea).
-seeing ONE bush campaigner (middle-aged white male) compared to the tons of Kerry campaigners... and my drunk ass rolling down the window to yell, "I don't want people to die!"
-reminiscing our gainesville fest extravaganza from december 2001, telling & retelling the spaghetti story among others.
-having preconceptions of certain people and then realizing otherwise over the course of a weekend.
-josh and i giving candy to a single trick-or-treater (2 or 3 handfuls of chocolate) and lecturing him on why he should never dress up for halloween.
-josh+++++++++++++
we really needed this excursion, all of us. ah, what a treat.
i need to recover, but i'm going to houston this coming weekend.
