[continued from here]Donna didn't know what she expected from inviting Harvey over. All she knew was that they'd both had difficult days, and so a drink would be good for both of them. If they happened to talk about the other time so be it. She was just taking this moment by moment and right now she wanted him there. Someplace where they could talk ( Read more... )

Harvey truly didn't know what he expected either, but it was Donna. She was the only person who knew and understood him better than he did himself. He showed up and knocked on her door waiting for her to let him in.

He unbuttoned his suit jacket as she opened the door and he walked in. He smiled at her as she handed him his glass of Scotch.

"Thank you."

"Welcome."

She smiled back at him, closing the door behind him before she went and sat down on her couch. She didn't even know where to start now that something she'd tried so hard to forget was on her mind.

"I thought if we were going to talk at all we should do it privately. And you already look like somebody slapped you."

She didn't yet know about him and Jessica.

He walked over and sat down beside her. He wasn't ready to talk about Jessica just yet. He took a drink and leaned back relaxing.

"That's a good idea. It is a conversation best had privately."

"I know."

She looked over at him.

"I tried so hard to forget it but it's not like it just went away, Harvey. That's why I said we should never talk about it again. Because you don't just forget what you look like naked. Or that thing you do with your hands."

A wry smirk.

"I loved that."

"I thought it'd be more that thing I do with my tongue." He chuckled, but was smirking all the same. "I do remember how much you liked it, you are very vocal."

"And that." She nodded, conceding the point. "That thing you should probably never do again even though I'm thinking about it right now."

"So am I." He leaned back watching her a few moments. "Remembering how wet you got."

"Oh it wasn't just me," she retorted, giving him a look back. "As I recall, you told me I got you so hard it hurt."

"And it was true." Of course by that time they had their fair share of foreplay. He smirked a little more.

"I know it was." She chuckled. "But if we did that again it would just make things more complicated between us. Wouldn't it?"

"I don't think so. We are adult enough to not let it." He took another drink calmly. He looked at her with a smile.

She paused and glanced over at him. "I want to hear you say it," she told him.

He set the glass down and leaned towards her. His eyes met hers, almost as if he was reaching down inside her for that desire she felt. "I think we should."

Donna couldn't help the shiver she felt when he looked at her like that. She set the glass down beside his on the table, and this time when she reached for his hand, gave him a rather firm pull toward her.

Harvey answered the pull toward her by his lips meeting hers. He kissed her slowly as an arm slid around her.

Donna kissed him back, leaning back into the couch. She knew that they shouldn't be doing this, and maybe tomorrow that would be clearer. But at that moment, seeing something in his eyes, he was what she wanted. And she just didn't want to think about it anymore.
