yesterday.
fought
with citicards
because they hung up on me when i was polite--
"they" being a MANAGER, that is
(you know i requested something totally unholy--
information
quickly
from statements that dare to be 10-8 months old
so that i can not get CHEATED out of $200.
but no
they can only send me these statements
to the us
in the snail mail
pretty much guaranteeing
that i won't get the information
in time to fight.)
which i have maybe ever done ONCE in my life
but of course these keys...
aside from the weeks and weeks it took to get them
forgetting all the drama associated;
and let's just not mention how notsolongago that all was
these keys contained:
one house key that can only be made by a card owned by my landlandy
one mailbox key (the only copy)
too old to ever *make* a copy of.
luckily
according to my plan
i had unlocked our mailbox
with the intent to keep the mail key at home
(only i never got to putting it in the key drawer)...
...and then lost my keys.
which ps?
i have been SO CAREFUL about them
because they were such a time-consuming commodity
and thusly
have no idea how i lost them.
so then
finally yesterday
i met Landlady for coffee
next to the key place
so that i could use the card and return it to her right away.
lovely.
paid 40 sheqs
got my key
...and went home only to discover that the key DIDN'T WORK
...and the key place was closed for siesta
...and my landlady was gone
...and the key can only be made from the keycard...
and in the morning
i tried to accept a job
only everyone was sick or on vacation.
so.
i cooked beans and rice
actually, beans and rice takes 1 & 2
with beer and tomato and spices
made my southhafrican roommate sulk in the bath
because i told her under no circumstances
was there going to be a dog living in the same apartment as myself
and she wanted me to justify it
and i said i would sooner move out
and she was mad
and i am really quite okay
being so firmly bitchy on this point.
actually, i take that back.
