Why She-ra was better than He-man
She-ra was so great because she was strong, smart, and successful, in addition to being sexy. Boys wanted her, and women wanted to be her. She may have originated as pure male fantasy--a buxom blonde with impossible proportions--but she was a well-educated, witty, powerful warrior-woman who led a rebellion against an evil tyrant.
She battled evil villains, not herself. Her outfit was sexy, but not trashy. Too many super-heroines battled evil garbed in little more than lingerie. She was classic girl-power, but not to the point of man-hatred, in fact she had a hot pirate boyfriend.
Little girls watched her and wanted to be her. They danced to her theme song and pretended that they were warrior-women. They begged their parents for martial arts and fencing lessons. They raced to the TV to see her deliver a wicked right-cross to a hordsman.
And She-ra was much more appealing to mention more powerful than He-man!
She-ra’s Powers
1) She has superhuman strength
2) she can heal fatal wounds with a touch of her hand
3) she can communicate with animals and people via telepathy
4) her sword can trasnform into other weapons (rope, a shield, a net)
5) She can battle evil in platform heels and a miniskirt
6) Her animal sidekick (a winged unicorn) can fly
7) Her sword can be used to communicate with the Sorceress in another dimension
8) She-ra has her own castle
9) Her sword also protects her from evil spells
10) All but one of She-ra teammates are women and they protect the men and the people of Etheria
He-man’s Powers
1) superstrength
2) His animal sidekick is a cowardly tiger
3) When he is in trouble and doesn’t know what to do, he turns to the sorceress. A WOMAN!
4) HE-MAN STILL LIVES WITH HIS PARENTS
5) He-man battles evil in FURRY UNDER-ROOS
6) Despite having a buxom redhead sidekick in a unitard and breastplate, he spends an awful lot of time with Man-at-Arms! He-man, it is time to come out of the closet!
