Does the French name not give people some hint that the school was founded by someone who wasn't Irish? It's not like I wake up in the morning thinking that USC was founded by Trojans. Also, I don't think that lots of Irish were milling around the area of my school prior to the potato famine. Actually I don't think many people were milling around there period what with the 50mph gusts and 75+ inches of snow per year.
