I am so glad I am not staying here next year. Yesterday was registration day and half the people didn't get much (or any) of what they wanted. I have one friend who needs to take patents to do patent law, yet the class was filled. It really made no sense since only 12 people in the entire school can actually sit for the patent exam and 24 slots were taking by rising third years. Sometimes they don't offer classes more than once every two years. It looks like they are expanding two required classes so people can take it.
Yesterday I went to a London meeting while all this was going on. It seems like we just register when we get there and pick whatever we want. Nothing fills up and it's really low-key. I didn't get any insights on where I'll be living, but I think I'm going to have to get roommates because it looks more reasonably priced and the pound is now at a 26-year high. There are some up and coming areas that are not too expensive but have nice 2-3 bedroom places.
