Drove 15 hours. Left NOLA at 10am. Arrived BG at 2:30am. Good time. Want shower, cable, sleep.
Oh but no. The smoke alarm here? Dying. Therefore, beeping. 10ft (ish) ceilings. No ladder. Maintenance? Not coming till morning. Sleep? no no no.
Deeply wanted shower. Shower not had b/c tub is gross gross gross. CLOROX to the rescue. But no. Shower doesn't drain. No shower for me.
Cable not working. Must call. Box works. TV works. They just don't love each other.
Oh, yeah, did I mention that for some mysterious reason, the HEAT was on FULL BLAST in the kitchen when I walked in?
Step one: heat to a/c! MAGIC. Fans on in unbearably hot loft. Doesn't seem to change temp a ton, but just enough.
Step two: Draino that isn't working. Solution? Dunk my head in the sink. Wash pits in similar manner.
Step 3: Hope ambien and fans will allow some reprieve from the noisy beep beep.
Need to get my 5 hours of sleep so I can drive an hour and get on a plane so I can then see family get married in DC.
