Right. I have made reference to her one strip a few times, so I should probably do this formally.
There is a person in the world named Allie Brosh, and she writes and illustrates a rather funny blog, called
Hyperbole And A Half. (The illustrations aren't quite...musem-calibre, but that's part of the charm.)
The entry I link to so often was one she made about how she's productive in fits and starts, and when it comes to housework I know exactly what she means.
beanish would do this sometimes when we were roommates -- something in his head would just snap and he would dump everything out of his bag to sort it all, or empty out his closet onto the couch to sort it, or everything in his room. He'd call them "org fits" ("org" for "organizing"), and once even made a small badge for himself announcing that he was having one (he stopped in the middle of sorting through his desk stuff to scribble "I'M HAVING AN ORG FIT!" on a Post-it and then slap it onto his forehead).
And this weekend, I'm going to have a massive one. I've got plans for re-doing a closet, which will free up space in another closet...which will free up space in kitchen cupboards...which will create even more space elsewhere...and while I'm moving things around, I may as well wipe them down...and...
...And, in other words, Allie Brosh drew a perfect picture of what I'm going to look like sometime tomorrow:
