Mod Post: Answering Your Questions!
Hello, my duckies! Oh my god, I can't believe so many of you have signed up -- I am so flattered and thrilled! Also, you've all had some really great questions, and I figure you might all like to know this stuff, so here's another mod post. (I love you all so much that I am endeavoring to post with capitalization like A Proper Mod!)
Regarding Non-Album Bowie Tracks
More than one person has expressed an interest in selecting a song of the "Labyrinth" soundtrack, which I didn't include in my discographypost, and have asked me if that's okay. To this, I say: OH GOD YES GOBLIN KING ADAM PLEASE FOREVER. The only reason it's not in that post is that I got too tired to include it, but when I make the final track listing post for claiming purposes, it will definitely be available. Which brings us to:
Claiming, And The Complications Therein
Now that I can see there's quite a decent interest in this comm, it's been brought to my attention that I should have an Official Statement on how the sign up process will work. I'm going to post a final guide on Thursday night, but basically I will post a list of David Bowie's songs, sorted by album, and allow people to comment with which song they'd like to choose. I'll do my best to keep a constant eye on things, and once a song's been claimed twice, I'll strike it through.
I haven't yet decided what time to open the claims post -- please take the poll! -- but since it's been asked, I should say that I am allowing claimants to use a proxy, if they're unable to sign up at the time. There's no need to notify me in advance; just have your friend comment with your username, and the song you'd like to choose. Please note that any individual may act as proxy for only ONE writer -- this is to cut down on anyone trying to claim all of an album for a bunch of people in one fell swoop.

As I've mentioned above, and have said elsewhere, I'm overwhelmed and thrilled to see how many of you have signed up for this challenge. My goal was to create something the entire fandom could join together in. I would love it if you guys would encourage your friends to sign up -- I've purposely made the timeline and minimum wordcount for this challenge quite lenient, so that even people who have trouble writing could get involved. If you're interested, I have a copy of the marvelous banner made for me by paitac, which you can all post to your journals.
