So, for those of you who didn't go to Stratford and see David Tennant and Patrick Stewart "ner ner nerner ner" That is my gloating for now :D
The show was absolutely amazing! I was quite worried that David Tennant was actually going to over-react his performance as Hamlet, but he played it absolutely superbly and is most definitely a gorgeous, gorgeous man.
My only disappointments were that at the start of the show, David looked like he was still doing warmup exercises for his voice when he spoke, but then he got into it quickly and was absolutely amazing.
Patrick was fantastic, but his death was a little badly acted, along with his throwing up, but apart from that, he was amazing.
Stratford is a wonderful place and I would urge those of you who haven't been to take a look around. It's wonderfully informative and the prices aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. There's a ticket you can get to see the five historical places of Shakespeare's life and family for (student price) £13 and the tickets last all year round, so you can come back at any time you want and you won't have to buy another ticket if you want to have a look at the same place again later on in the year.
Oh, there is a Witchcraft museum which is a pile a cack. Cheap (£2.75), but the biggest pile of cack you will have seen. It was more about Harry Potter than anything else and is apparently the most haunted museum in Britain - uh huh, as long as you believe half the crap that comes out of some people's mouths.
Apart from that, Stratford is a beautiful place and one I am most certainly looking to go to again, and if I happen to go and watch Hamlet again because of David Tennant and Patrick Stewart, then that's just a bonus :D
Oh, the murder mystery went really, really well and we're completely sold out for the next one and they're also having to find an extra 4 places for our regulars who didn't have time to book. Woo! More money and fun. Also, a bonus to add onto that is that we were actually filmed during the last Murder Mystery and he wants to do some more with us and try and start out a small TV thing (not quite sure what). But apparently, if it does set off on it's feet, we'll be earning ourselves a nice £50,000 each as part of a profit share. Here's to hoping :D
