Hey All,
For those of you that have not done anything to your ankles don't. Ok story time!! About three yours ago I was a church event at someones house and It was like a sleepover cookout thing so we where out with the fire and the grass was kind of damp from Dew and being watered. Well some of the kids and I where running and falling down to roll down the hill. I went up to start running and when I went up in mid air my left foot turned sideways and I landed on the left side of my foot with all of my weight and for those that have seen me I am not the lightest person in the world. Well I came down and to make things worse I heard snap crackle and pop as I came down and proceded to land with my whole body right on the now hurt ankle further injuring it I am sure. Well I went home that night need less to say because I could not even up enough pressure on it to keep balance while I was crawling. Well my mom came and got me and on the way some how found something to wrap my foot in. Wrapped my foot and I hopped to the car on one foot which I tell you is not a easy task. My dad being an awesome guy was a EMT for the local ambulance squad for like 7 years and on the e-suad at work for like another 5 years so he is a good person to do first aid. Well he came home that night and being the nice guy he is fixed my ankle up so much that I could not feel any pain for a while and was able to get some sleep before the pain came back. Well my parents thought that I had just rolled my ankle to the point of almost spraining it. NO!!! I sprained my ankle almost to the point that my doctor told me anymore pressure on my foot I would have broke it. So needless to say I didn't go to the doctor till like 2-3 weeks after the accident so my doctor felt the foot that I had injured and told me the above mentioned thing and sent me on my way. Told me I had done a good job helping it heal and that there was nothing to do unless I would feel better if I had an air cast and he said I didn't need it I didn't want it so I didn't get it. Well I now have what I call a weather foot, because now everytime the weather changes I know about it cause my ankle starts to hurt and I can't comfortably walk with out one of my braces on it. Well like always in WI/MN we get these weird times that it can't decide what is wants to be Warm or Cold so my foot goes crazy. GRRRRRRRRR Well I need to go and Ice is so it will feel better for a 9 hour day tommorow.
