Oh man
So I finished "Wizard's First Rule" By Terry Goodkind which Mellisa got me for Christmas. It was sooooooooo awesome. I can't believe I've never read that before- now I'm super excited to tackle the rest of the series. It was pretty addictive, and I had trouble putting it down cause I was getting so excited about what was going to happen next. And then I wouldn't be able to sleep because I was thinking about what I thought was going to happen next. hahaha. I am an overly excitable reader. It was super awesome though. Can't wait to get the rest of the books, but am going to try to wait a bit so that I can, you know, finish grad school apps and not get behind in classes. hahaha. Seriously though- not that I haven't been reading good books lately, but this one had me so excited about it. Before that, I read the Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks. Very good, even though it had blatant influences from LoTR and the Hobbit. Speaking of which!!!! I'm sure this puts me over the edge on the nerd-o-meter, but I'M GOING TO A LECTURE SERIES ON JRR TOLKIEN!!! omg, it's going to be awesome. Bought my tickets today. Have to miss the first one because of a stupid extended Wind Ensemble rehearsal, but I'll be at the next 4!!! OH mannnnnn. I am soooo dorky. hahhahaha. ok time to go to school.
