Geez it's been a while. OH well, here goes a random quick update:

School:
Going ok. Have midterm and paper due Monday. Not excited about working on it tomorrow. Just came back from a concert for my ethnomusicology class on music from the silk road. Almost fell asleep, but meh, at least I got it done and now I don't have to worry about finding a concert to go to for the rest of the quarter... plus it was free unlike many of the concerts they announce... niiiice.

Band:
Also going ok. I think tempers are running low as the season is late, but not late enough to be encouraged by it almost being over. I've got to work on the artwork, or really "artwork" for the away trip funpak. should be fun. which is probably why I haven't done it yet- I have so many un-fun things that I should probably be doing instead. Dawgs just won today for the first time since Boise State... geez that was a long time ago. Nice to finally win again. Too bad I didn't get to see the first part (was playing for a basketball game) or the last part (was at that stupid ethno concert.) I kinda forgot about this time when I have basketball band, volleyball band, and regular football band going on all at the same time.... kinda sucky.

Grad School Apps:
Not very productive. The actual applications aren't hard- it's the writing of the personal statement, retrieval of letters of recommendation, and taking the GRE that is hard. Been studying a bit for the GRE, but again, I have classes to study for too, so it's a bit rough. Speaking of the letters of recommendation- I asked my boss Beverly to write me one and she said that I could write it and she would edit it and sign it. Now, Patrick says I should look at it as that she has so much trust in me that I could write the most amazing things and she would agree with it, but I feel like it's all a bit of a gyp. The whole purpose of a letter or rec is to be complimented on how great you are and be recognized for everything you've done. And I have done a butt load for those guys- not that they're ungrateful or anything, cause they're not- I just feel a bit gypped.

Holidays:
I are EXCITED! I sure do love Christmas! And, this year, Patrick and I are going to have Thanksgiving at our apartment and my parents and sister, and possible friends that aren't going home, are going to bring food and hang out! It's going to be really cool.

Games:
I beat Portal. Best credits song. ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI

ok done. that is all for now.
